The Archaeological Museum – History Tour – About 1.5 Hours
The Florentine Archaeological Museum is the second most important museum in Italy for Egyptology, right after the museum in Turin. It is also the most important museum for Etruscan history.
This experience will remind you that Florence is much more than the Renaissance. Together, we will see Etruscan, Roman, and Greek artifacts, and we will visit the Egyptian Museum, that has over 14,000 pieces from different ages.
We will be surrounded by stunning sarcophagi, statues, statue torsos, vases, and Greek free-standing sculptures known as kouroi. And just to let you know, many of the Etruscan artifacts that are exposed in the garden were actually found there! And another fantastic news: if you have the ticket of the Uffizi Gallery the entrance of the Archeological Museum is free of charge!
