The Dome of Florence’s Cathedral is visible from all over the city and inspired Florentines to do great things. The Cathedral is one of the most iconic buildings of the world, deeply interwoven with the history of the city.
On this tour we will visit the Cathedral, built in the Middle Ages and we will enter in the Baptistery, after talking about the wonderful Ghiberti Bronze Doors of that building. We will visit the Museum of the Opera where there is also the famous Maddalena by Donatello and a wonderful Pietà by Michelangelo. The Dome climbing is NOT included in this option. If you also want to climb the Dome you can add to this tour the DOME CLIMBING GUIDED TOUR.

Dome Climbing Guided Tour (1 hour)
For for the more sportive people there is the possibility of climbing up the Dome with me (463 steps!). The tour is about one hour of climbing and I will explain you about the construction of the dome made in 1418-36. The dome of Florence is one of the biggest of the world and it is still not totally clear how Brunelleschi built it. What is known about Brunelleschi’s prized project is that his vision required a completely new way of thinking about building. The view from the top is insane! Surely the best place to admire the city of Florence.
Moreover, after the climbing, if you want, you will have the possibility of visiting the Museum, the Baptistery, The Cathedral, The Crypt, The Giotto’s Bell Tower by yourself with the same ticket.
